A video about how you get your name. Given Name.

This was an unusual production for me as I was director and not editor of this piece. It was with two other people Diarmaid McCaffrey & Julia Hogarty. We wanted to tell the story of how a name is given to a child and the meaning behind it for a parent outside of the religious practice of baptism.

This is my cousin’s baby Charlotte being Christened. 

I shot some of it on my Nikon D7000 with a 50mm lens. The music is by Oliver Tank. I’m quite pleased with it as I had to work closely with Diarmaid who was editing and I think we managed to get on the same page.
